The Ugly Duckling
In the story The Ugly Duckling I feel like the author taught us a valuable lesson. I feel the lesson was " Never Judge A Book By Its Cover." I saw this example when the baby duckling was born & she came out differnt then all the other ducklings. The other ducklings treated her badly because she was a differnt color. As the duckling got older she because just as beautiful as the other ducklings. An example in real life would be people judgeing other one another based off there physical apperence. In other words when people think there better then someone else because of there looks, & how they dress. Just because they look or dress different doesnt mean they're any less than anyone else.
Jessica you are off to a great start with your blog! I think you nailed it on the head what the author was trying to say about pre judging people based on the outside rather than getting to know people from the inside. As you stated, you can't always judge a book by its cover. Again great job!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the theme you selected from the short story The Ugly Duckling. Its true you should never judge a book by its cover, you never know their inside story based on a image. Another Theme I want to make noticed is "everything that shimmer aint gold". I thought this was a good theme because everyone you meet are not what you think they are. A pretty face can have a ugly personality.
ReplyDeleteGood Job Jessieca :) !
